ABOUT Mike Consultor

My Story

Mike Consultor is an expert in eCom scaling due to his long term experience in eCommerce.

He started with platforms such as eBay and local marketplaces such as Craigslist and Kijiji.

He used these online platforms to buy and resell products.

Simply by buying a product from Kijiji and selling it on eBay was profitable, but eventually Mike wanted to streamline the process, so he started his own webstore.

With your own webstore there are less fees, less restrictions and more opportunity.

Continued...

So Mike opened his very first webstore that was selling "Goat Leather Bags".

He noticed an individual seller on eBay was selling them without much effort.

So he decided why not sell it on his own store with his own branding and advertising.

Just through SEO, eBay listings and adwords he was getting sales!

Though Mike wasn't really into Goat leather bags. They smelt funny, left oily residue on your clothes, and was very nitch.

Though people who wanted them liked them!

Continued...

So he then decided to sell "Led Flashlights". Mike was very fond of electronics, and LEDs were the "new thing" back then.

LEDS were less than the size of a penny but can output lighting power superior than 50 incadescent light bulbs and use WAY LESS electricity!

So with its portability and strength many people wanted them!

They were just practical, reliable and they were NEW!

And so through youtube marketing (simply organic how to videos on LEDs, and flashlights) sales were coming in.

But to maximize sales that's when paid marketing was key along with proper page funneling.

Continued...

So by pumping retargeting ads through facebook and youtube MORE SALES were coming.

And then by utilizing sale gen ADS on youtube and google PLUS retargeting ADS on the same platforms even more sales were coming in.

Then to increase the average checkout price. Mike decided why not offer accessories to the sales page? Such as extra batteries, a case, no questions ask warranty upgrade, etc.

And then why not add order bumps and upsell offers to those didn't purchase the most bought accessories.

That way since they already checked-out, with a simple click of a button it will allow the customer to pay for the accessory immediately and add it to their current checkout.

Continued...

Therefore the average checkout price went from $89 to $144 after adding the accessories on the sale page and the order bumps and upsells on those who didn't purchase the most bought accessories.

And then Mike started adding abandoned cart email sequences, which increase conversions and sales by 23%.

Email lead captures such as pop ups like regular pop ups or strategy "game" popups such as "spin the wheel to win" which increased email opt in rates by 67%.

And then by using those opt in emails and previoulys purchased customers' emails, an email list was born and then Mike used it to provide value giving content regarding about LED and LED flashlights and every 3-5 emails there would be a checkout and/or promotion sales email.

An each one of those emails increased sales on those days by 33%.

Continued...

Then he continued off optimizing the upsells by adding different conditions if certain accessories were added, and if an upsell was declined a downsell was offered.

The downsell offered was a 2nd led flashlight for 30% off.

In turn every customer was now checking out to roughly $160.

Eventually Mike decided to rebrand the product, make the box look nice, add a cool logo to the flashlight and add package-customer-appreciative-goodies into the shipped boxes.

So, these would be stickers of the flashlight company, a 1-2 page customer satisfaction pamphlet, a business card, a discount card, or a promotion. Literally anything you want it to be.

Continued...

After doing this organic word of mouth sales increased by 15%.

Customers who purchased would give their stickers and/or bussiness cards received from Mike's LED flashlight webstore and give it to friends, family, acquintances and etc., and then from their people would directly go to the webstore and purchase.

And the great thing is customers really enjoyed and appreciated the little cards, stickers and any other free stuff you happen to give them.

So, its a WIN-WIN for everybody.

And it also helps with brand awareness!

Continued...

Then came even more organic wins!

Through the power of influencer marketing, sales were going through the roof.

Basically, Mike would send out packages both at random and with an agreement to a Youtube, Instagram and other platforms (blogs, twitter, websites, etc.) influencer(s).

They would basically shout out the product, and their fanbase of 5K to 20K to 500K to 1.2 Million eyeballs were watching Mike's product.

Amazing for sales, amazing for brand awareness, and amazing for long-term  growth.

As long as the video doesn't get deleted most likely that video will continually get you views.

Continued...

Most died hard subscribers watch all their videos, read all their content and etc, of their favorite youtuber, or instagramer or web blogger.

And thus even if your video is 7 years old, and if that individual is still making relevant content or if that video is stilil relevant today then you basically have free ads being placed every day forever.

Yes it won't be the initial 1.2 million views you got in the first 5 days, but even 100 views a day for the next 8 years for 1 video is still another 300k views for free.

Now imagine if you get 50+ influencers to work with you!? That a lot of Sales, and Leads, and Brand Awareness.

Continued...

And so Mike built his LED Flashlight webstore and increased it sales every possible way.

Now imagine your webstore implementing these strategies? How much more sales and leads you will get?

And I haven't even explained the other 100+ tactics I used. There are even more, I just listed a couple to get your taste buss ready.
